Join us at our inaugural “Roger Davis and Paul Zellisko Fun Hunt”!
You do not have to be a WISILL member to participate. This is an awesome opportunity to see what hunt tests are all about and connect with good people to train your dog with. Whether you’re a fellow waterfowler getting ready for next season are new to hunt tests or got a new pup, come out, have fun with your dog and meet a lot of great folks.
We will be offering all three HRC level hunt tests AND an SRS test set up for $10 a run. You may run more than once if you would like. This is not a licensed HRC Hunt test just a way for you to get out and see where your dog is after a long winter. There will not be a water test due to the weather. You ARE allowed to run your dog with a training collar on, but you will not get the “fun hunt ribbon” if your dog passes the test.
We are also looking for volunteers to work the test at all levels! This is a great opportunity for you to try out being behind the line and judge. You do not have to be a HRC licensed judge for the fun hunt or have experience with a winger – we will train you!
As we are trying to work within the current guidelines, we will update the event in regards to lunch as soon as we have the information, however, the Pavilion is rented and we anticipate having a potluck lunch.
